The Story Behind Cogia – Designed by a Gym Girl - FOR GYM GIRLS

Hello Everyone! First off, thanks for stopping by and checking out my page. I’m Katrina SparksLavan, the founder of Cogia, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I enjoy looking cute while working out.

I started Cogia in 2022 because I was tired of the same old gym wear struggles—see-through leggings, cheap fabrics that don’t last, and overpriced activewear that made no sense. As someone who LIVES in the gym, I wanted clothes that actually worked for me—comfortable, stylish, squat-proof, and affordable. 

Every piece in Cogia is designed by a gym girl, for gym girls. I know what it’s like to constantly adjust your leggings mid-workout, worry if your outfit is holding up, and feel like you have to drop crazy money just to look and feel good in the gym. That’s why I made it my mission to bring high-quality, functional, and stylish fitness wear that moves with you, lasts, and won’t break the bank.

As a proud veteran, discipline, resilience, and determination have always been a part of who I am. Serving in the military taught me the importance of strength—both physically and mentally—which is exactly what I wanted to bring into Cogia. The name Cogia itself means butterfly, a symbol of growth, transformation, and strength—everything this brand stands for. Just like a butterfly goes through its own journey of change, I’ve embraced my own challenges and turned them into something bigger.

This brand is my passion, my way of making sure we no longer have to settle for less. And trust me, I’m just getting started! More styles, better fabrics, and a stronger community are all on the way.
